Department of Permit and License

Duties

1) To evaluate the temporary activity certificate (GFB) applications.

2) To evaluate the environmental permit applications of enterprises on air emission and environmental noise.

3) To evaluate the environmental permit applications of enterprises for wastewater discharge and deep sea discharge.

4) To evaluate the environmental license applications of enterprises.

5) To carry out all the processes and procedures concerning the user name identification etc. for all personnel involved in the permit process within the central and provincial organization of our Ministry.

6) To ensure the organization of all kinds of training regarding the implementation of the software program, which is the basis for the implementation of both the legislation and the regulation.

7) To arrange informative and awareness-raising trainings, seminars, campaigns etc. for the public.

8) To contribute into the preparation of the inventory and annual reports on permit and licensing procedures.

9) In line with the permit data, to develop the policies and strategy of the permit system of the Ministry within the scope of the subjects within its field of duty, to implement the relevant legislation or to ensure its implementation.

10) To evaluate the import and export demands of the substances kept under control in terms of environmental protection.

11) To present opinion(s) on the issues that are among the duties and responsibilities of the Department.

12) To monitor international developments / studies in the subjects within its field of duty, to ensure the coordination for its implementation, to offer and carry out the necessary projects.

13) To carry out or contract a third party to carry out software studies for environmental permit / environmental permit and license applications to be made electronically, to improve the same and to ensure their implementation.

14) To fulfill similar duties assigned by the General Manager.
