Duties

1) Regarding Tourism and Housing investment projects, Transportation and Coastal investment projects and Energy investment projects;

a) To evaluate the projects within the scope of the EIA Regulation, as well as presenting opinion(s) on the applications of the EIA Regulation.

b) To carry out on-site inspections of the projects.

c) To attend in public participation meetings.

ç) To examine and evaluate EIA reports.

d) To monitor and evaluate national and international studies related to their duties.

e) To carry out training activities in the subjects that fall within its field of duty.

f) To participate in monitoring and control activities.

2) To carry out, implement and implement legislation related to Strategic Environmental Assessment.

3) To plan, organize and carry out training programs for the central organization of the Ministry, the provincial organization and other related institutions / organizations on Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment.

4) To follow international conventions and academic developments related to Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment, to carry out the necessary work and procedures within the framework of harmonization with the European Union acquis, to ensure the coordination of the same, to communicate with organizations with similar structures in the international arena, to organize joint work programmes.

5) To fulfill similar duties assigned by the General Manager.
